A new breed of emerging problem-solvers of the free world is entering the scene. Technology gives us the opportunity to work from anywhere and start our own businesses built on values that are important to us. A global industry has furthermore chained people to office chairs and machines while spewing out eco-killing debris for a century.

The problem is, we think we have time

New ways to do a job is firstly changing the way we work, secondly hire people and last but not least build businesses. Strategy and business models are also changing. So are the way we organize the workforce. A new generation of environmentalists is demanding change, to secure life on earth in the future. This new breed of emerging problem-solvers of the free world is now entering the scene. They are not afraid to face the hardships of change.

As the old money-making machines disappear in social sharing and new digital platforms – making money in the emerging future digital world is critical survival skills for all businesses. And then there are the important human values and needs …

The Digital entrepreneurs have the mindset to be the up and coming problem-solvers for personal freedom in the business world. And rising from the ashes of a natural world in crisis are the young environmentalists ready to take on the Pollutors. It is no longer the Industry leaders nor the politicians that is in control of the change.

As more companies adapt to the possibilities technology can give them, nations are being forced to change as well. If a growing part of the technology educated workforce desires to live life on their own terms, the companies will have to adapt to collaborate with the best people to survive.

We could be in for major changes in the western industrial worlds political systems, as the political scenery battles through ground shaking shifts, entering the digital age. But that is not the only place the ground is shaking politically. As a new generation of environmentally active kids grow into their teens, we see major shifts in favor of the environment amongst the coming generation. They are not accepting that the worlds governments continues down the road to death for life on earth. A clear demand for change is now.

The industrial age has put life on the globe in a state of emergency. Up to 200 species are going extinct every day. We’re currently experiencing the worst species die-offs since the loss of the dinosaurs, 65 million years ago. According to the IPBES Global Assessment, the health of the ecosystems is deteriorating rapidly. We are suffocating the very foundations of our economies, livelihoods, food security, health and quality of life worldwide.

Solving the climate crisis – overruling governments

A solution to natures problem is to let nature do what nature does best. Instead of cutting down forests we need to plant them, cultivate them and let it grow. Emerging problem-solvers of the free world are recommending planting billions of trees across the world. Planting trees is by far the biggest and cheapest way to tackle the climate crisis, according to these scientists.

As trees grow, they absorb and store the carbon dioxide emissions that are driving global heating. New research estimates that a worldwide planting program could remove two-thirds of all the emissions that have been pumped into the atmosphere by human activities, a figure the scientists describe as “mind-blowing”. This is something we can all do together.

The function of a community is not to fix your weaknesses, but to amplify everybody´s strengths.

A digital nomad is a working traveller. These remote workers use their computer and Wi-Fi to do their work and is absolutely location independent. They do start-up’s, run their own company or work for somebody else. Moreover, their office is coffee-shop’s a co-working space or other places with WiFi like the beach. Surrounded by new people, often changing location, they are clearly inspired by whatever happens in their current location.

Solving the work life crisis – overruling corporations

A nomad needs to find a place to live, and organize internet. Learning the rules and regulations of a new country every time they change location is also vital. New friends, a place to exercise, maybe a doctor’s office or a new dentist every now and then is indeed a need too. They feel the important pulse of the world as they travel and work their way around the globe. These eco-friendly travelers are particularly equipped to be the emerging problem-solvers of the free world.

The Environmentalists are taking over the news

When the Swedish environmentalist Greta Thunberg met with political leaders, and billionaire entrepreneurs in Davos. She said “I don’t want you to be hopeful. I want you to panic. I want you to feel the fear I feel every day. And then I want you to act,” she told them.

Approximately 30,000 species per year — about three per hour — are being driven to extinction. Approximately 80 percent of the decline in global biological diversity is caused by habitat destruction. Wildlife habitat in the world is being destroyed at a rate of approximately 5,760 acres per day or 240 acres per hour. Cutting down trees are killing the habitats of the world and causing a massive increase in co2, that heats the globe, melting the poles and natural disasters follow.

16 year old Greta, is the girl who are described as the best news for the climate movement in decades. She met the French president, Emmanuel Macron, shared a podium with the European commission president Jean-Claude Juncker and has been endorsed by the German chancellor, Angela Merkel.

Greta is someone who strips away social distractions and focuses with black-and-white clarity on the issues at hand. Thunberg has started a movement that we already know will go down in history. New followers contribute to the cause every day. But she still believe political action far outweighs individual changes to consumer habits. That is why she sees the importance of talking to the politicians and corporate leaders.

On social media, there have undoubtably been crude attacks on Thunberg. Already familiar with bullying from school, she appears unfazed. “I expected when I started that if this is going to become big, then there will be a lot of hate,” she says. “It’s a positive sign. I think that must be because they see us as a threat. That means that something has changed in the debate, and we are making a difference.”

Problem-solvers of the free world

Forbes Magazine recently wrote an article about the digital nomad society, claiming that nomads are good at solving problems with a world view. The reason, they claimed, was that Nomads work outside the bubble and develop a network of talents that can help solve problems by testing more cost-effective solutions and learning.

This group of working explorers are obviously experiencing the world’s problems first hand by wandering the world, working, and networking. They are indeed developing new skills for problem-solving by getting to know the different locations, people and challenges they are settling in to for a period.

Bravery is not the lack of fear – it is the ability to move forward inspite of fear

And then there are the environmentalists. This group of young people are definitely not tolerating the industrial world’s poisoning of the nature we need to survive. They are up and coming and above all, see the world and the urgency threatening our very existence. Working with scientists they come up with simple solutions that makes a huge difference if we all chip in.

The big solution, the one thing that will make the difference is planting trees… come on, let’s all do it. Bring the kids, and grandpa. Let’s have a fun day outside together and help save the planet.

The future

I remember hearing stories about the people leaving everything behind in Europe to go to America and make a good life for themselves as the 1800 ended and the 1900 began. The American anthem – land of the free, home of the brave definitely describes the revolution of thinkers and doers making the digital nomad society and young environmentalists perfectly.

At this time they are not settling in one country – they are above all becoming world citizens. But unlike the brave travelers in former century’s they don’t just do it for themselves and their family’s. Because this time they are taking on global politics and large corporations. Meeting world leaders and owning the responsibility of the survival of the world on their young shoulders. There is unquestionably major opportunity to develop new businesses taking care of the growing environmentalists and nomad society’s needs. And who better to figure it out than the emerging group’s themselves.

They clearly tell the world that they will not tolerate the industrial era ruining nature anymore. First and foremost Leaving the shackles chaining them to the office- chair. Because they will no longer do work they don’t like for corporations with conflicting values. Working to pay bills and start living at retirement – was previously introduced and forced to keep people dependent on large corporations.

Too many people have worked themselves to diseases by retirement, and sadly dye with their dreams still inside them. Nomads and environmentalists are advocates for living NOW. Remember, We are first and foremost nature, we need nature and nature need us. Let’s work together with the natural world embrace our values and be free.

To me, nature and Travel is by far the best education to open our eyes to the world’s problems, help others, and grow as human beings. But we also need to belong somehow and learn new skills to develop through life. The blog

I find that the best place to reflect and ponder the questions around mindset is in nature. The changing seasons and the shifting colors and moods of the great outdoors is an endless inspiration for a fit and healthy body and mind. That is why I combine hiking or backpacking with thoughts on mindset. The outdoors is also my psychologist, my personal trainer and where I feel most alive. We belong in nature and the importance of keeping it alive is vital to our survival.

When I travel, I also get inspired by the cultural mindset. I find that there are endless lessons to be learned by traveling the world. Kindness, gratitude, happiness – violence, hate, forgiveness and love. We touch them all, and we can learn to control them and use them wisely in all areas of our life’s.

Travelling also opened my eyes to the worlds new co-working spaces, where we can find other likeminded people to discuss business issues with, have skill-sharing sessions with and build rewarding relationships. Rest assured, you are not alone. The answers you need will come to you when you journey into the unknown.

Always walk through life as if you have something new to learn and you will.
